PacifiCorp Foundation awards grants for Idaho arts programs

arts organizations for programs that will impact youth. The Idaho International Folk Dance Festival was awarded $5,000 for
next year’s Youth Culture Days event and the Idaho Falls Arts Council was awarded $2,000 for its Children’s Art Education
series.
PacifiCorp employees rally to generate $1.6 million in charitable donations
(Dec. 22, 2005) — Amid media reports of “donor fatigue” this holiday season, PacifiCorp employees have rallied to contribute
$872,000 to nonprofits that assist with health, education, the environment and hurricane relief. A match by the company’s
charitable arm, the PacifiCorp Foundation for Learning, boosted the total contribution to $1.6 million.
PacifiCorp Foundation awards $92,000 for arts programs in Utah
(Dec. 13, 2005) — Utah Power’s charitable arm, the PacifiCorp Foundation for Learning, has awarded $92,000 to twelve Utah
non-profit groups, to support art and cultural programs throughout the state. The grants are part of more than $200,000 awarded

Geneva Jones honored for a lifetime of community care
(Dec. 13, 2005) — Geneva Jones, a local TV personality and former Pacific Power employee, was honored by her peers today
by becoming the first Geneva Jones Community Spirit Award recipient. She was given the award yesterday at a holiday gathering
for local Pacific Power retirees.
Utah Power employees designate $61,000 for Utah nonprofits through Spirit of Excellence program
(Dec. 8, 2005) — Seventeen Utah nonprofit agencies received gifts early this holiday season, adding up to a total of $61,000
from the PacifiCorp Foundation for Learning, the charitable arm of Utah Power. The organizations were chosen to receive donations
by Utah Power employees and project teams, as a part of the company’s annual Spirit of Excellence employee recognition program.
PacifiCorp, its employees and charitable foundation give more than $740,000 for hurricane relief
(Nov. 22, 2005) — PacifiCorp, which operates as Pacific Power in Wyoming, has contributed $57,000 to the American Red Cross

Childhood literacy program receives $50,000 grant and celebrates successful second year
(Nov. 10, 2005) — Idaho’s Parents as Teachers (PAT) Plus early childhood literacy program celebrated the successful completion
of its second year on November 9, with learning activities, pizza and a $50,000 infusion of funding from the PacifiCorp Foundation
for Learning. This third installment of a three-year $150,000 funding commitment from the PacifiCorp Foundation, the charitable
arm of Utah Power, will provide additional resources to help improve childhood literacy in Madison County.
PacifiCorp Foundation announces Portland-area grants
(Oct. 26, 2005) — This fall, the PacifiCorp Foundation for Learning awarded $31,500 to seven nonprofit civic programs in

(Oct. 7, 2005) — A $5,000 PacifiCorp Foundation for Learning grant will help fund the construction of a third Habitat for
Humanity home in Buffalo, Wyo. Buffalo High School students and community volunteers are working in partnership with Habitat

The Nature Conservancy of Oregon's youth education program gets support

H.A.R.T. receives PacifiCorp Foundation grant to support Hispanic services in Oregon's Willamette Valley
(Oct. 4, 2005) — The H.A.R.T. Family Resource Center received a $2,500 grant from Pacific Power’s charitable arm, the PacifiCorp
Foundation for Learning, to improve services to the area’s Hispanic community. H.A.R.T.’s Cultural Connection project provides
literacy and family support resources to Harrisburg’s growing Hispanic community. Funds also will be used to purchase curriculum
for English class and other needed material.
National Park traveling exhibit gets funding help in Dayton
(Sept. 28, 2005) — Only seven Washington communities will have the chance to see the traveling Lewis & Clark exhibit, “Corp
of Discovery II,” and Dayton is among them. The Natural Park Service exhibit will visit May 12-15, giving local residents
a better understanding of the traditional and tribal lessons of Lewis & Clark’s monumental journey. The PacifiCorp Foundation
for Learning, the charitable arm of Pacific Power, is donating $5,000 to toward the cost of bringing the exhibit to Dayton.
Wallowa Co. education projects receive $9,000 from the PacifiCorp Foundation for Learning

Critical grant funds awarded to Central Oregon sustainability project
(Sept. 23, 2005) — The Oregon State Parks Trust has secured a $5,000 grant from the PacifiCorp Foundation for Learning. The

Utah Power president named as chair of PacifiCorp Foundation for Learning
(Sept. 19, 2005) — Utah Power President Rich Walje has been elected as the new chairman of the PacifiCorp Foundation for Learning,

PacifiCorp gives $500,000 to aid Hurricane Katrina relief effort - PacifiCorp Foundation to match additional employee donations

Utah Power yard sale to continue tradition of support for Junior Achievement

Astoria's Tapiola Playground swings with PacifiCorp Foundation help
(Aug. 1, 2005) ― Pacific Power’s charitable arm, the PacifiCorp Foundation for Learning, awarded a $5,000 grant to the local
Tapiola Park Project. Pacific Power donated construction equipment and almost a dozen journeymen volunteered on a Friday evening
to dig holes and ready the ground for building the new playground, explained Mike Rick, Pacific Power’s operations manager

Special guests joined Teton County parents and children for the Raising Readers in Wyoming kick off event held at the Teton
County Library in Jackson, on May 4. Raising Readers is a program being implemented throughout the state to help parents prepare
their young children for reading, while promoting well-child doctor visits. With the expansion of the program into Teton County,
Raising Readers is now active in all 23 Wyoming Counties, reaching 4,900 children.

Schools conflict resolution program in Medford receives PacifiCorp Foundation aid
(May 2, 2005) — Mediation Works received a $5,000 PacifiCorp Foundation for Learning grant to help expand its popular Schools
Conflict Resolution Program. As Pacific Power’s charitable arm, the PacifiCorp Foundation for Learning
supports organizations that emphasize education.
Walla Walla United Way and Camp Fire receive PacifiCorp Foundation funding

Parents as Teachers Plus ‘Birthday Party’ celebrates successful first year of childhood literacy initiative
(Feb. 10, 2005) — Idaho’s Parents as Teachers (PAT) Plus early childhood literacy program celebrated its successful first
year in Madison County with a “birthday party” for participating families, residents and special guests, on February 9, 2005.
