Upper Rogue youth get funding for cultural visits
(Oct. 18, 2006) — Upper Rogue Community Center in Shady Grove, Ore., has received a $3,000 grant from PacifiCorp Foundation’s
Pacific Power Fund to help provide field trips to cultural and educational sites for school-age children in the Upper Rogue
community.
Middle school class to get salmon habitat lesson Oct. 20
(Oct. 18, 2006) — A class of 30 Reynolds Middle School students in Portland, Ore., will study salmon habitat with Oregon
Trout’s Salmon Watch program at Eagle Creek Recreation Area Oct. 20 at 10 a.m. Representatives from Pacific Power will be
on hand to present Salmon Watch a $4,000 check for its educational outreach.
Dorris gets support to throw birthday gala
(Oct. 12, 2006) — The city of Dorris, which lays claim to the tallest flagpole west of the Mississippi, received $1,250 from
the Pacific Power Fund to help plan its 100th birthday celebration in 2008. The funds will go toward a commemorative monument,
a community historiography of the past 100 years and various community events.
Yakima Symphony gains grant to visit classrooms

Pacific Power donates $2,000 to Red Cross for wildfire relief
(Aug. 23, 2006) — The American Red Cross Blue Mountain Chapter in Walla Walla is seeking $18,000 in donations from area businesses
and individuals to offset the cost of the local wildfire emergency. Pacific Power donated $2,000 to the Red Cross drive, which
is helping Dayton-area families with food and other supplies.
