Pacific Power Fund provides grant for Creswell playground

CRESWELL, Ore. — The PacifiCorp Foundation’s Pacific Power Fund recently provided $5,000 to help the city of Creswell upgrade playground equipment in its downtown public park and make it more accessible to physically challenged children.

“The park’s existing playground equipment offers little for children to do,” said Doris Johnston, regional community manager for Pacific Power. “The equipment is outdated and unsafe by currently accepted safety standards. Furthermore, the park is not at all accessible to children with disabilities.”

This donation is part of the foundation’s annual allocation of grants to civic and community organizations. It is one of four annual funding cycles for programs in the categories of education, health and human services, and arts and culture.
