Washington FinAnswer Express Retrofit Incentives

Program changes approved -Updated November 6, 2009
The Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission approved changes to our FinAnswer Express program, effective October 30, 2009. See program changes. Updated program brochures and information can be found below.

Our FinAnswer Express program includes incentives and technical expertise for lighting, motors and HVAC equipment upgrades that increase your electric energy efficiency and exceed code requirements. Both retrofits of existing equipment and new construction projects are eligible.

We help you weigh your technical and financial options. You can choose a Pacific Power Energy Efficiency Alliance vendor or an independent energy consultant for technical expertise.

There are even more benefits
Not only do you save money, you can also improve equipment reliability and your work environment. That can increase comfort and worker productivity. According to betterbricks.com,

  • Only 2 percent of the 30-year costs of a building are in its initial construction. Another 6 percent is expended on operations and maintenance and the remaining 92 percent are labor costs.
  • In a typical office building, energy costs run about $2 per square foot while salaries and benefits are $130 per square foot or more. Even slight changes in productivity can have a large effect on the bottom line.

Before you start your project:

Note: We offer incentives and services for more complex projects under our Energy FinAnswer program.
