KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — Pacific Power donated $2,345 to the City of Klamath Falls Parks Department to fund educational signs
about the Link River Trail; and to help upgrade barriers on both ends of the trail to improve accessibility and keep out motorized
vehicles.
“Improving interpretive signage at both ends of the trail will enhance the public’s understanding of the local habitat and
environment,” explained John Bellon, City Parks Supervisor. “We want to improve access by removing trail turnstiles and replacing
them with a system that will allow disabled and bicycle access.”
Bellon said that work will begin on replacing the existing turnstiles and complete work this spring. The City will work with
local environmental groups to design interpretive signs and potentially a brochure for visitors using the trail. It hopes
to complete the entire project by next summer.
