YREKA, Calif. — The city of Dorris, which lays claim to the tallest flagpole west of the Mississippi, received $1,250 from
the Pacific Power Fund to help plan its 100th birthday celebration in 2008. The funds will go toward a commemorative monument,
a community historiography of the past 100 years and various community events.
This recent PacifiCorp Foundation Pacific Power Fund grant was awarded during one of four annual funding cycles for programs
in education, health and human services, arts and culture, and civic and community betterment.
