Horseshoe Bend

This wind farm is located just west of Great Falls International Airport in Cascade County, Montana – one of the windiest places in one of the windiest states in the country. As Cascade County's first commercial wind park, the farm consists of a collection of six GE Energy turbines that are 380 feet tall. Situated on the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains, it is estimated the turbines can produce enough electricity to power approximately 2,400 homes a year.
