This 28 kilowatt ground-mounted solar array helps offset a portion of the electricity used by the PDX facility that processes the airport’s deicing fluid.
This installation is part of a larger carbon reduction initiative taken on by the Port and will include an educational exhibit within the terminal building, demonstrating the environmental benefits of the array and airport visitors about solar energy.
