Change to on-peak and off-peak time periods
The 2005 Federal Energy Policy Act extends daylight-saving time three weeks in the spring and one week in the fall beginning in 2007. To ensure that you are billed the appropriate rates for energy usage during the additional weeks of daylight-saving time, the peak time periods for electric Time of Use rates will begin and end one hour later between the second Sunday in March and the first Sunday in November. More specifically, for 2012, daylight-saving time begins on March 11 and ends on November 4.
Does this affect me?
This change to the on-peak and off-peak time periods only affects you if you are on an electric Time of Use rate schedule, which means your electric energy charges are based on the day of the week and the time of day you use electricity. If you are not sure if you are on a Time of Use rate schedule, please call us at 1-888-221-7070.
