Evaporative Cooling

Evaporative cooling equipment uses evaporated water to reduce the temperature of air and provide cool air. Evaporative cooling equipment is very effective in warm, arid climates and uses only a fraction of the energy required for air conditioning equipment.

We offer cash incentives and technical expertise for evaporative cooling and other equipment that increases energy efficiency and exceeds code requirements. Choose a wattsmart Business vendor or an independent energy consultant for technical expertise.

STEPS for evaporative cooling
  1. Obtain a general application with supplemental evaporative cooling application (PDF) from us or your wattsmart Business vendor. Pre-approval is recommended but not required for evaporative cooling incentive applications.
  2. Purchase and install a qualifying unit at an eligible location.
  3. Submit your incentive application.
  4. Receive incentive check within 45 days of completion of step 4.
