    Prepare for emergencies and natural disasters

    In Oregon, Pacific Power's Community Resiliency program includes options for communities seeking to enhance their emergency management and disaster preparedness capabilities, including:

    • Technical assessments to evaluate the potential costs and benefits of adding energy storage and associated technologies to critical facilities.
    • Grant funding to support the installation of energy storage at critical facilities.  

    Request a technical assessment of a critical facility

    Pacific Power will contact you to conduct an assessment to determine site suitability for energy storage in your community.

    Step 3

    You will receive a report about adding storage at your critical facility, including the benefits, costs and detailed information about implementation.

    A Pacific Power technical representative will call to discuss your report findings and next steps.

    Apply for energy storage funding

    Pacific Power will accept grant applications for funding related to the installation of energy storage resources from August 1 to October 28, 2022.

    Review Grant Selection Criteria and Submit an Application

    Step 2

    Pacific Power will evaluate your grant application and contact you with any questions.

    Step 3

    A Pacific Power representative will notify you once a grant award determination has been reached.

    Step 4

    If Pacific Power awards you a grant, you will coordinate the installation of the energy storage system that meets your requirements with funding support for that installation from Pacific Power.

    In California, Pacific Power’s Community Resiliency program includes options for communities seeking to enhance their emergency management and disaster preparedness capabilities, including:

    1. Funding to support the purchase of portable renewable backup generators that may be dispatched to provide power to vulnerable community members during an interruption in the utility power supply.
    2. Technical assessments to evaluate the potential costs and benefits of adding energy storage and associated technologies to critical facilities.
    3. Grant funding to support the installation of energy storage at critical facilities.

    Pacific Power will accept grant applications for portable renewable backup generator funding beginning on July 13, 2021 and running through November 30, 2021.
