Vansycle II

The Vansycle II wind farm, located in Umatilla County, Oregon, features 43 2.3 megawatt turbines that each stand 164 feet tall. This phase of the Vansycle wind facility began operation in 2009 and features a nameplate capacity of 98.9 MW—enough to power over 30,000 homes combined. This facility stimulates the local economy with local tax revenue, land-lease payments to landowners, green jobs for the surrounding community, and allows the land on which the turbines sit to remain viable to agriculture.
