Deschutes County – Fair and Expo Center

Redmond, Oregon

The Deschutes County Fairgrounds solar installation is a roof-mounted array on the existing Deschutes County Fair and Expo Center. This 65-kilowatt array consists of 266 panels and is anticipated to produce approximately 84,000 kWh a year, saving the County (tax payers) nearly $7,000 in operating expenses each year.

This project includes an educational kiosk displaying live generation information from the solar system. The system and kiosk will educate the Event Center’s more than 1.2 million annual visitors about how solar technology works and of the County’s environmental stewardship.
