The Josephine County Food Bank (JCFB), a program of United Community Action Network (UCAN), provides emergency food to a network of partner agencies throughout Josephine County. Through this network JCFB serves approximately 10,000 people per month. In 2016, JCFB completed installation of 150 Oregon-made solar panels on the roof of their Raptor Creek Farm facility — a restored farm property in Grants Pass, Oregon now used as a warehouse and garden space.

The installation helps reduce JCFB's carbon footprint, educates the Josephine County community on the benefits of solar power technology, and helps free up funds to provide additional food to those in need.
