Naches Elementary School

The 30-kilowatt rooftop solar array is comprised of 182 solar panels on the roof of the gym at the new elementary school. Students from Perry Tech Electrical program volunteered to install the panels along with the Naches Valley School District maintenance department.

In addition to educational opportunities for Perry Tech students, the school district plans to incorporate the project into the math and science curriculum and an educational kiosk delivers real-time generation data in the school's lobby.

The Naches Valley School District serves about 1,400 rural students around the south-central Washington town of Naches. Based on community input, the building was designed solar-ready.
