OIT – Geo-Heat Center #1

Hydro turbine

Klamath Falls, Ore.: This 280 kilowatt low-temperature geothermal project is located on the OIT campus to be used as a realistic laboratory for engineering students to study, gather data, evaluate findings and prove the technology while moving the campus closer to becoming a net zero energy user. The project generates approximately 36,477 kilowatt hours per month and will be used in conjunction with tours of the campus and as an integral part of their geothermal program.
