Rogue Valley International Airport – Net Zero Parking

RVIMA solar

Jackson County's Rogue Valley International-Medford Airport (RVIMA) is the third largest commercial airport in Oregon. In 2015, RVIMA completed the installation of a 36-kilowatt solar installation in the airport's parking lot. The project consists of 120 solar panels, split between awning structures that cover walkways and tollbooths. This final 36 kW project marks the close of RVIMA's three-phase "Net Zero Parking Lot" effort. Three solar projects, combined with LED lighting upgrades and an electric vehicle charging station, are expected to give the 16-acre parking lot a net zero carbon footprint, meaning the parking lot will not net more power usage than it generates.
