Westwind Stewardship Group is a non-profit organization that owns and operates a 529-acre camp, farm, and wilderness area in the Oregon coastal community of Otis. Its mission is to conserve the land, foster life-changing outdoor experiences and promote environmental stewardship. Energy conservation is a priority at the site, and a new solar array will add to the effect of existing energy efficient lighting and electric heat pumps.

The new 32-kilowatt solar array, featuring Oregon-made solar panels, will demonstrate the benefits of renewable energy for the 5,000 annual visitors participating in science classes, workshops, events and volunteer programs.
