Community organization will benefit from energy savings
Thanks again to Blue Sky block participants, a grant for a solar panel project was awarded and recently completed on the south-facing roof of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Rogue Valley. This impactful community organization in Grants Pass, Oregon, provides a fun, safe and constructive environment for children and teenagers. And, the club also offers programs and services to help young people succeed in school and develop leadership skills.
This new 51.12 kW solar array will not only save the organization money, allowing them to fund more scholarships, but will help teach the participating kids about the importance of reducing their carbon footprints, while highlighting the organization's commitment to renewable energy.
