A block represents a set amount of renewable energy – specifically, 100 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of renewable energy. Each block costs $1.95 per month. Charges for Blue Sky Block remain constant each month and do not fluctuate with your electricity usage. Blue Sky Block purchases support wind (73%) and solar (27%) energy from the Western region and help develop community-based small-scale renewable energy projects. Blue Sky Habitat costs about a penny ($0.013) more per kilowatt-hour, PLUS an additional $2.50 each month. Blue Sky Habitat supports a blend of renewable resources from Oregon and the Western region. The resource mix is likely to include wind (30%) and solar (70%). In addition, your fixed monthly $2.50 Blue Sky Habitat donation helps restore and preserve native habitat in Oregon through The Freshwater Trust. Also see PacificPower.net/BlueSkyPCL.
