Pacific Power is committed to delivering affordable, reliable and sustainable energy to our customers.
Comprehensive distribution system planning plays a part in transforming the energy grid to benefit customers.
Pacific Power is developing a Distribution System Plan (DSP) for its service area in Oregon as informed by Oregon Senate Bill 978 (2017) and Governor Brown’s Executive Order No. 20-04 that highlight the importance of exploring new expectations for the electric grid, the importance of clean energy, inclusivity and customer options. Pacific Power’s DSP will be developed as outlined by the Oregon Public Utility Commission's Guidelines for Distribution System Planning.
Pacific Power has pursued an open and collaborative approach to involve state regulatory agencies, customers and other stakeholders in our Integrated Resource Plan development and the company will continue that approach for the Distribution System Plan. Pacific Power will be holding a series of public workshops to share information and provide an opportunity for the Oregon Public Utility Commission (OPUC) and public stakeholders to get a more complete picture of how Pacific Power manages and plans to modernize the distribution system, as well as to provide a venue for stakeholders to submit comments and ideas.
