Solar array expected to power over 80% of energy use

Thanks, in part, to a $100,000 grant made possible by Blue Sky Block participants, Fort George Brewery plans to install a solar array on their property along the riverfront in Astoria, Oregon.

Once installed, the solar array is expected to save the brewery up to $60,000 a year by powering up to 80% of the facility’s energy usage, reducing the brewery’s carbon footprint while supporting renewable energy.
