Solar panels activated at Boys & Girls Club
We’re thrilled to announce the recent activation of solar panels on the Illinois Valley Club location of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Rogue Valley in Kerby, Oregon. These solar panels were funded in part by a grant made possible thanks to Blue Sky Block participants.
Earlier this year, we joined the Boys & Girls Club at a "Switch-On" event celebrating the new panels, where young club members worked with Pacific Power representatives to create a hands-on representation of renewable energy generation.
Not only does this new solar array installation underscore the commitment of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Rogue Valley to environmental stewardship, but the cost savings generated by the panels allow them to focus additional funding on youth programming that is fostering learning opportunities about renewable energy.
