Irrigation load control

The Irrigation Load Control peak reduction program has been expanded and enhanced.

The geographic area has been expanded beyond areas in and around Klamath Falls, Oregon, to areas south of Medford. Irrigators who choose to enroll in this program will earn cash incentives for temporarily reducing electricity use by shutting off irrigation pumps during peak demand periods. Higher incentives will be provided for irrigators who curtail usage with an hour notice instead of a day notice. Days and hours for events has also been extended and expanded.

The program is a pilot and not all interested customers will have the opportunity to participate.
