Partial requirements

Partial Requirements are available to give customers flexibility in meeting their energy needs. For example, a shale gas operation may want to generate electricity by burning natural gas onsite. They don't plan to sell any of the power they generate to Pacific Power, but instead want the reassurance that Pacific Power's system is available to handle all of their electrical needs should their partial generation be interrupted or fail.

Interconnection — To set up a Partial Requirement arrangement within Pacific Power's service area, we will work with you to implement an interconnection agreement. Partial Requirements interconnection agreements are administered by the company's transmission services function (PacifiCorp Transmission Services). Learn more about interconnect requests.

A separate tariff exists in each state for Partial Requirements:

California Schedule 33-A

Oregon Schedule 47

Washington Schedule 47T
