Electric fleet pilot program

We’re teaming up with non-residential customers in Oregon to help make it easier and more affordable for customers to transition their fleets to electric vehicles. Our pilot program offers advisory services and tailor-made incentives to support the upfront design and construction costs associated with electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Qualified participants can receive a custom incentive covering project design, engineering, permitting and construction costs.  We provide the expertise and financial support for your successful fleet transition project.

PILOT OVERVIEW

The Fleet Make-Ready pilot program offers advisory services and tailor-made incentives to support the design and construction costs associated with behind-the-meter EV charging infrastructure. Qualified participants can receive a custom incentive covering project design, engineering, permitting and construction costs for their electrical infrastructure and installation of electric vehicle service equipment (not including the actual charger).

CUSTOMER READINESS CHECKLIST

Utility account information

  • Gather utility account information and ensure that you have your business/property owner information and are authorized to sign applicable pilot program agreements.

Ownership of electric vehicles

  • Ensure ownership, purchase or lease of a minimum of two electric vehicles during the project period. 
  • Obtain invoices as proof of fleet electric vehicle purchase(s). 
  • Outline your fleet operational needs and conversion timeline.

Charging infrastructure planning

  • Prepare to document your current fleet size, vehicle make and model information.
  • Ensure your level 2 and Direct Current Fast Charger (DCFC) equipment is on Pacific Power’s Qualified Products List. (Note: This EVSE equipment is not covered by make-ready incentives.)

ELIGIBILITY

  • Pacific Power Oregon non-residential customers with an active commercial vehicle fleet are eligible.
  • Applicants must be property or site owners or have authorization to sign applicable program agreements.
  • All Level 2 and DCFC charging equipment must be approved by Pacific Power and listed on the Qualified Products List. Please note: Funding does not cover the cost of charging equipment.

Due to limited availability, priority consideration will be given to the following entities

  • Small to medium businesses
  • Nonprofit organizations
  • Public agencies or municipalities
  • Educational institutions
  • Healthcare institutions

REQUIREMENTS

  • Projects may not connect to existing electrical infrastructure and must be separately metered.
  • Ownership, purchase or lease of a minimum of two electric vehicles are required during the project period. 
  • To qualify for incentives, participants must submit all required documentation including, but not limited to (guiding checklist will be provided to participant upon application acceptance):
    • Customer participation agreement
    • Electric service agreement (if applicable)
    • Utility easement (if applicable)
    • Pre-permitted, permitted and post-construction project documentation (participants will be provided guiding checklist upon application approval)
    • Proof of fleet electric vehicle purchase
    • Incentives are paid in two milestone installments.
  • Participants will be required to keep infrastructure operational and share charging data with Pacific Power for 10 years.
