Oregon rebates for home EV chargers

Income-qualified customers can earn incentives for the purchase of a hardwired AC Level 2 charger or the installation of a 240-volt outlet used for EV charging.

Rebates for income-eligible customers

Get up to $1,500 for home charging equipment for income-qualifying customers.

REBATES

  • Hardwired level 2 chargers: Up to $1,500
  • 240-volt outlet for home EV charging: Up to $500

ELIGIBILITY

  • Be an income-qualified Pacific Power residential customer in Oregon with income at or below 150% Oregon median income (see Resources tab).
  • Buy and install a hardwired AC Level 2 charger OR buy and install a 240V outlet for use with a non-hardwired EV charger.
  • Charger and/or plug must be purchased on or after January 1, 2026.
  • Submit a rebate application within one year of the date of purchase.
  • Equipment must be installed by a licensed electrician.
  • Customers who have previously received EV charger incentives from Pacific Power are not eligible.

REQUIREMENTS

Before applying for a rebate, customers will need to have the following documents:

  • Income Verification Form & Proof of Income
  • Charger or plug equipment receipt, including date of purchase and amount paid
  • Installation invoice
  • Photo of installed charger or 240-volt plug
  • Permits (if applicable)

RESOURCES

  • Income must be at or below 160% of Oregon Median income.

Proof of eligibility

If you are already enrolled in Pacific Power's Low-Income Discount program, no further income documentation is required.

If you are not currently on a low-income rate with Pacific Power, please include the completed Income Verification Form with your application materials.

You can establish proof of eligibility on the form in the following ways:

  • A. Are you a customer that receives help from one of the following agencies?
    • a. Oregon Energy Fund (OEF)
    • b. Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
    • c. Oregon Energy Assistance Project (OEAP)
    • d. American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA)
    • e. COVID-19 Energy Assistance Program (CEAP)
  • B. Did you receive a Charge Ahead rebate?
  • C. If none of the above apply, you will need to complete the self-attestation section of the Income Verification Form and provide proof of income.
