MEDFORD, OR – With field crews working tirelessly for a third day, power has successfully been restored for most customers in Pacific Power’s southern Oregon and northern California service area. As of 4pm, there are 24 outages remaining, affecting 80 customers.

In some areas, access issues and challenging conditions are prolonging restoration efforts.

“We thank customers for their continued patience, understanding that some have been without electricity for days,” said Erik Brookhouse, vice president of system operations for Pacific Power. “We want to assure them that our crews are working night and day to restore power, in difficult terrain and conditions.”

As a reminder, stay away from all downed power lines and utility lines. Even if the lines are not sparking, they could be energized and extremely dangerous. Customers should avoid both downed trees and powerlines as well as keep pets far away from those areas.

If you spot a downed line, call 911 and then report the outage to Pacific Power at 1-877-508-5088.
