We know our neighbors rely on us, and that’s why we work day-in and day-out to power our communities.
We’re always improving our system to deliver safe, reliable service so you can focus on your day.
Explore the steps we’re taking to bring you the power you count on year-round.
We’re investing $2.5 billion across our six-state system in wildfire mitigation strategies over the coming years. This includes installing fire-resistant poles, improving the resilience of power lines and harnessing real-time data from an advanced network of weather stations. By adapting to extreme weather events from wildfires to winter storms, we’re focused on delivering safe, reliable power to you and your community.
Our aerial and ground patrols work to identify potential hazards and remove them before an issue arises. Our team of arborists and other professionals check the health of trees, clear greenery around poles and prune branches to minimize the risk of vegetation coming into contact with power lines. It’s all part of our efforts to deliver reliable service for our customers and to prioritize the safety of our communities.
If there’s a service interruption, we will notify you so you can plan your day. You decide how you want to be notified – by text, email or phone.
Power flickers or momentary outages can sometimes happen. Due to a number of factors inside and outside your home, the voltage of your electric service can vary slightly. Most of the time you won't even notice these voltage variations, but electronic equipment can be very sensitive to even small, split-second electricity fluctuations.
Devices such as uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) and surge protectors can help protect your equipment from power fluctuations. Look for UL TVSS 1449 certification rating from an independent test lab such as UL (Underwriters Laboratories) or ETL (Electrical Testing Laboratories).

Each year, we compile a report of our system performance in California, which tracks reliability metrics and includes areas where we'll focus to improve. Review the most recent report
