Instant incentives

Instant incentives cover up to 70% of qualifying LED lighting purchases. Instant incentives are available for easy-to-install lamps that fit in many existing light fixtures.

Option 1: Get instant incentives from a participating distributor

  1. Identify which lamps to upgrade at your facility.
  2. Purchase qualified lamps from a participating instant incentive distributor and receive your instant incentive as a credit on your invoice from the distributor.
  3. Complete the instant incentive customer application with your distributor.
  4. Install new lamps in your Washington facility and enjoy the savings!

Option 2: Apply for incentives with a post-purchase application

  1. Identify which lamps to upgrade at your facility.
  2. Purchase qualified lamps from a vendor of your choice.
  3. Complete and submit the lighting post-purchase application, invoice and required documentation. Here are instructions for IRS Form W-9.
  4. Install new lamps in your Washington facility and enjoy the savings!
  5. Receive incentive check within 45 days of completion of Step 3.

Incentives for lighting retrofits 

Get cash incentives and technical expertise for lighting upgrades. You can choose a Wattsmart Business Vendor or an independent energy consultant for a lighting analysis.

  1. Before you start your project, contact us or a Wattsmart Business Vendor and complete a general application or apply online. We require pre-approval and may need to verify existing equipment.
  2. We provide an incentive offer for you to sign before you order equipment. You provide your tax ID in a completed W-9 form (PDF) so we (or our program administrator) can prepare a 1099-Misc. (if required) following the incentive payment.
  3. Upgrade your lighting. 
  4. Submit project cost documentation including invoices with a breakdown of materials and labor. Then, contact Pacific Power or your Wattsmart Business Vendor for a post-installation inspection.
  5. Receive incentive check within 45 days of completion of step 4.

Incentives for new construction/major renovation

Get cash incentives and technical expertise for lighting installed as part of  new construction or major renovation. You can choose a Wattsmart Business Vendor or an independent energy consultant for technical expertise.

  1. Obtain an incentive application package and catalog from us or a Wattsmart Business Vendor (pre-approval is recommended but not required). The package includes the general application, application supplement, and IRS Form W-9.
  2. Review and approve lighting proposal and sign incentive application.
  3. Submit your incentive application package. Here are instructions for IRS Form W-9.
  4. Receive incentive check within 45 days of completion of step 3.
